Athens

Santorini

Regions of Greece

• Ionian Islands are located in the Ionian sea and composed of such islands as Corfu, Ithaca, Kefalonia, Paxos and others. Ionian Islands have always been famous for its outstanding natural beauty: white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, stunning landscapes, beautiful charming villages. 
• Pelopennese is one of the most beautiful parts of Greece. Located on the very south of mainland Greece, Pelopennese is a peerfect place for holidays. It has all one could wish for: stunning beaches with blue crystal water, ancient ruins and historical monuments, small charming villages and secluded places filled with tranquility and peace.

Wine regions of Greece

Greece is home to European winemaking. The culture of winewaking has been known on Crete for 4 000 years, and 3 000 years on mainland Greece. Every year Greece produces around 500 million litres of wine, half of which is exported.  Some of the most popular wines are: Agiorghitiko is probably the most important of Greek red wines; Retsina is a white or rose wine, can be found in any tavern all over Greece; Xinomavro is a red wine which is produced on the north of Greece, has a rich woodsy taste.

When to go

Greece has a mild Mediterranean climate with warm humid winters and hot dry summers. April and May are the most beautiful months and are perfect for sightseeing. Swimming season is between May and October, the rest of the year one can enjoy the beautiful countryside and landscapes of Greece.
