Description:

Our spacious 100 m² ground floor apartment is furnished and decorated to a very high standard throughout creating a luxurious, cosy and homely atmosphere, having been completely refurbished in 2011 with new kitchen and bathrooms and 2 LCD televisions. It has a very spacious and comfortable lounge-diner, with 2 sofas, 6-seater dining-table, fireplace, 42' LCD satellite television, DVD and mini Hi-Fi. It opens via french-windows onto a large south-facing terrace with 2 loungers and 6-seater dining-table that overlooks its beautiful private garden that opens to the main swimming pool. The en-suite master-bedroom has a very comfortable king-size bed, a 32' LCD television and fitted wardrobes. The new bathroom has a full size bath with shower. The new marble-topped kitchen is extremely well-equipped and fully-fitted. Our apartment also benefits from being located in a tranquil area in the centre of the complex. Cot and baby facilities are available.
It has all the comforts of 'home' available to our guests.

El Presidente is on the beachside of the coast road that leads out of Marbella and Puerto Banus. Marbella town and Estepona town centres and their beaches are about ten minutes away. Fortunately our complex is, in our opinion, ideally located because we are close enough to enjoy all that Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella have to offer whilst at the same time enabling us to live in a tranquil and beautiful environment next to the beach with its extensive gardens, five swimming pools (one of which is heated for most of the winter) and sporting facilities, including tennis, paddle and basketball courts, football pitch and a golf-practice area. The beach is just a few minutes walk away, with just a narrow stretch of trees separating us, where we have our local beach bar / restaurants.

Also in the surrounding area of El Presidente there are many family oriented activities available including adventure, wild-life and water parks, sea-life centres, dolphinaria and water sports centres. There are also many excellent golf courses nearby and beautiful countryside to enjoy.

Exploring the local area: Marbella is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. As well as the nearby coastal towns of Puerto Banus, Mijas, San Pedro and Estepona, it is well worth venturing inland to visit the beautiful white-walled towns of Benahavis and Casares. Slightly further afield is Malaga which should not be overlooked as its pedestrianised old quarter has a labyrinth of streets and squares which are great fun to explore, as well as being a very good place to buy shoes at remarkable prices. Also within easy travelling distance are the wonderful cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba, and of course just along the coast is the island of Gibraltar with its apes, caves and tax-free shopping.

Local area info:

El Presidente, where we also live, is a wonderful beach-side complex close to Marbella, Puerto Banus and Estepona and is generally regarded as one of the best complexes on the coast. Within a short walking distance of the complex are the beach and many local restaurants and a small supermarket.

We are ideally located away from the turmoil of Puerto Banus and yet it is just an easy five-minute drive along the coast road. Indeed it would be impossible to find a more spacious and luxurious complex at this price anywhere along the coast and certainly not in Puerto Banus or Marbella where they are much more compactly built.

The area around Marbella is well known for its unique micro-climate which gives us over 300 days of sunshine each year as well as extremely pleasant temperatures, even in the summer months when elsewhere in Spain it can become unbearably hot!

Whilst the Costa del Sol is particularly renowned for its lovely beaches and wonderful Mediterranean lifestyle there is of course so much more to enjoy including beautiful countryside just a short distance away.

Slightly further afield are the historic cities of Seville, Granada and Cordoba, as well as the beautiful old town of Ronda. A particularly relaxing journey is aboard the scenic Steam Train from San Roque to Ronda with more than four hours to explore Ronda before returning. Malaga too is also now definitely worth a visit.

A short drive away from El Presidente is Marbella and its lovely promenade and beach. Once it was just a fishing village but now it is known as “the pearl of the Costa del Sol” with its cosmopolitan population, international visitors and reputation for being one of the Coast's most aristocratic resorts.

Here you have the beautiful old town of Marbella with the Plaza de Naranjos at its centre. Narrow white-washed pedestrianized streets feed off from it, bedecked with colourful and fragrant flowers, offering a wonderful chance to explore the hidden delights of Marbella as you come upon attractive courtyards, the walls of the old Moorish castle and numerous bars, restaurants and shops.
As well as having our own on-site golf practice areas, we are just five minutes from the following clubs: El Paraiso, Guadalmina, Atalaya and Flamingoes Golf; ten minutes from Marbella Club, Monte Mayor, La Dama de Noche, Las Brisas, Aloha, Los Naranjos, La Quinta and Estepona; and thirty minutes from Valderama and San Roque.
Skiing in Sierra Nevada, close to Granada, is about a two hour drive from us.
Tennis Coaching and Car Hire: We are now able to offer professional tennis coaching with an extremely good and fully qualified LTA coach. Our complex's four tennis and two paddle-tennis courts have recently been refurbished to a high standard and are freely available to our guests.

We had a great time at El Presidente 

 
We had a great time at El Presidente. The ground floor Yolanda apartment was just like a home from home, and it was in a great location just beside the main pool. Peter and Sylvia were very friendly and we took up their restaurant recommendations which were spot on. We would definitely go back for a very relaxing holiday.

Bonjour à tous, Nous sommes partis chez Peter et Sylvia début septembre, et nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour. Tout d'abord, ces personnes sont des gens charmants et très accueillants. Concernant l'appartement et la résidence, rien à redire, tout était parfait! La résidence était magnifique avec ses 5 piscines et ses allées arborées! Les piscines sont propres et la résidence très bien entretenue (des jardinier étaient là tout les jours). L'appartement était vraiment génial! Très bien décoré, bien équipé, propre… et au bout du petit jardin privatif un accès à la plus grande piscine de la résidence! Je vous recommande donc cette location qui est vraiment superbe!

The apartment was lovely and really well maintained with everything you need. The pools in the complex are very nice with a lot to choose from. El Presidente is quiet and relaxing but benefits from being close to a wide range of restaurants within a few minutes walk. The surrounding areas including Puerto Banus, Marbella and Ronda are well worth a visit and again the location of El Presidente makes it an ideal base for seeing the area. I will definitely be back!

We have just come back from a week in Andulucia and have had a wonderful trip. These apartments rented out by Peter and Sylvia are exceptional! The location is stunning and wonderful for a relaxing and romantic "get-away
from it all" time. If you want night-life and shopping, Puerto Banus and
Marbella are close by but when you require peace and privacy, then look no further than these lovely apartments in El Presidente. We found that the spacious accommodation included everything we needed and it was cleaned to a very high standard too. There are several excellent restaurants nearby so we did not eat at home but the kitchen was extremely well equipped if you wished to cook for yourselves. We didn't need it but the apartment rental includes air-conditioning and satellite TV. The beach is a two minute walk away if you like to swim in the sea but the beautifully landscaped complex had five swimming pools (one of which is heated) and tennis courts. We visited early in the season but due to the amount of apartments built in El Presidente, I cannot imagine that the surrounds would ever get too crowded either. We unreservedly recommend this accommodation and congratulate the owners on their high standards and very helpful customer service. I hope you will enjoy yourselves as much as we did.

We have just returned from a most relaxing and enjoyable week in "Yolanda" a ground floor... 

 
We have just returned from a most relaxing and enjoyable week in "Yolanda"a ground floor apartment owned by Peter and Sylvia Chatland. We found it to be exactly as described on the website, beautifully clean, fully equipped, with very attractive and comfortable furnishings/bed. Peter met us in person despite our late arrival (10.30 pm) with a warm welcome and a quick familiarisation with the apartment. In the morning we could not believe how beautiful the grounds were. Fabulous gardens, fountains and a choice of swimming pools. Peace and tranquility prevailed, unless we decided to drive the 10 minute journey into Marbella or even nearer Puerto Banus. Excellent restaurants within walking distance if you don't want to drive. Great situation for all age groups. Anyone wishing to hire a car should definitely take up Peter's offer to organise this and take advantage of the VIP service, excellent rates (cheaper than we could get it online) plus an upgrade. What more could we ask! We will definitely be back. Thank you Peter and Sylvia.

My partner and I were fortunate enough to have found this haven having travelled extensively around Spain. I do not wish to appear lazy, but I currently have a broken wrist, however was keen to leave a quick comment.(forgive any typos) The review by Brian and Maura is spot on and everything I would wish to say. I would also add that Peter and Sylvia are superb hosts and are not intrusive unlike some, who with the best of intentions, are a bit too enthusiastic and plan your entire holiday for you!! If you need help, support and guidance they have it. If you want left in peace you are. We WILL be back. Thank you Peter and Sylvia.

We had 2 weeks from April 25 to May 9 2009 at EL PRESIDENTE, the apartment was excellent, the gardens were spectacular, the owners Peter and Sylvia could not be more friendly, in all an excellent 2 weeks holiday.

Availability and Rates

Rates notes

The quoted rates are based on a maximum occupancy of two people.
There would be an additional charge of 40 euros per week for a third person staying in the apartment.
A deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid following arrival.
A discount is available for extended stays outside of the high season.
Included in the rate is the first 30 euros of electricity per week which for 99% of our visitors is more than sufficient!
There is a supplementary charge of 50 euros for night-time arrivals after 00.00.
Electricity is not included in the low season for reduced rate long term rentals.
