Description:

Words are difficult to describe Casa Margarita - it is quite simply one of the best villas on the coast. As soon as you enter through the electronic security gates you are transported into the splendour of the villa's grounds and will be captivated by the gardens and pool. It is totally private and secure and has four CCTV cameras for further privacy. The villa is surrounded by 50,000 sq ft of landscaped gardens with lemon, mandarin, cherry and olive trees. The private salt water pool is a key feature of the property and 10 sunbeds, parasols and beach towels are provided around the pool.

The owners of Casa Margarita own their own race horses and so you will find beautiful photographs and paintings of some of their horses throughout the villa. The Aga Khan's Jockey Christophe Lemair - who won the 2011 Melbourne Gold Cup, the biggest race in Australia, was a guest at the villa. You will find his glowing review in the villa's guest book along with other guest's fantastic feedback.

Casa Margarita sleeps up to 10 people and is therefore exceptional value for money. The master superking size bedroom is extremely spacious with patio doors leading out to its own private terrace with a sofa, table and chairs overlooking the pool, gardens and mountains. A fantastic en suite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath for total relaxation and a large wet room. There is a further double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a private terrace with comfy chairs to enjoy the outlook over the pool area. There is a further twin bedroom and double bedroom on the upper floor of the villa both sharing a separate shower room in the hallway . On the ground floor there is a study/double bedroom and en suite shower room. All bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard with beautiful works of art and soft furnishings. You will find four hairdryers, towels and beach towels for your use in the villa.

The lounge is extremely comfortable with a three and two seater sofa, flat screen TV, open fire and music system. There is a small library with a two seater sofa, just off the lounge. The open plan dining area is between the lounge and the kitchen and there is a large dining table and chairs in the terrace for al fresco eating. You will also find a Webber Gas Barbecue and a bottle fridge in the terrace.

The gardens are very large with olive and lemon trees - please feel free to pick your own fruit!

A full Reservation Pack will be emailed to you upon booking. This will contain a Booking Form for you to complete with your contact details, people in your party, date and time of your arrival and departure. We will also provide our Terms and Conditions and useful information about the surrounding area. A car is necessary to reach Casa Margarita. We would recommend www.carjet.com or www.DoYouSpain.com. You will be given detailed directions from the airport of your choice (Malaga or Gibraltar) - Malaga a is the closed airport and flights from Europe to Malaga are frequent.

Local area info:

Coin is just 35 minutes by car from Malaga airport, along main (if winding!) roads. There is plenty to see and do within a drivable distance of the Villa - Granada and the ski resort of Sierra Nevada are all within 2 hours drive, and Seville is 3 hours away.

Closer to home, Alhaurin El Grande is 20 minutes away and is a bustling market town (on Thursdays) and has more great restaurants and bars. Monda is 10 minutes from Coin and its Moorish Castle is a memorable place to watch the sunset with a cocktail.

Surrounding Area: Costa del Sol is known as the sunshine coast and for good reason. With over 300 days of sunshine a year you will rarely be disappointed with the weather when you visit this coastline. There is far more to this coast than sun, however! The sophisticated resort of Marbella is around 30 min drive away where you can enjoy its fantastic shops, the famous Orange Square and beautiful beaches or enjoy the stylish harbour of Puerto Banus. You will find beaches only a 10 min drive away where you can walk along the promenade or venture into the myriad of streets where you will find lots of shopping, tapas bars and restaurants.

Gibraltar is about 1 hour away and worth a visit especially for tax- free shopping. There's lots to do and see in the surrounding area - golf courses, beaches, wind surfing and tennis.

Ski:
The Sierra Nevada mountains are only a two hour drive away from Casa Margarita for the ski enthusiasts.

Golf:
Golf is one of the key attractions for this development. The Costa del Sol has the perfect climate all year round, offering some of the finest golf courses in Europe - you will not have to travel too far from the Villa to find an abundance of them. A visit to this website will show you the many courses within the region - it is also worth taking a drive along the coast towards Estepona and Nueva Andalucia where you will find around 15 golf courses in and around this area. Golfers Paradise indeed!

Horseriding - the owners are horse lovers and own their own horses. They will be happy to organise horseriding lessons for you - just let us know at the time of booking.

There is horse racing most weekends at the nearby Mijas Hippodrome - this is a really enjoyable day out for all the family.

For the children there are many waterparks in the vicinity of the villa.

There are also tennis clubs and fitness gyms nearby - more information on sports activities can be provided at the time of booking your holiday.

Time of my life

Myself and 8 friends (all girls in our late 20’s) are just back from a long weekend at Casa Margarita and are already planning our next trip.

Isobel made the booking process a breeze, even though our dates were difficult and advised us on everything from car hires to the number of hair dryers at the villa, which was such a great help (especially with Ryanair luggage restrictions)!

Even though it was late at night, Maggie the owner met us in Coin to make sure we could find the villa okay and then gave us the grand tour, instructions for everything and generally made us feel like the place was our own. She also generously filled the fridge full of treats which was lovely as there were no shops open by the time we got to Coin and so a cold beer (and breakfast/lunch/basics for the next day & beyond) was very much appreciated. Maggie was available throughout the stay and even called us taxis and booked us a table at a restaurant because our Spanish was terrible. You could not wish for a better host/owner and her thoughtful gestures and attention to detail really made our stay at Casa Margarita a holiday we will never forget.

The villa itself is pure luxury – from the beautiful lady lights and fountain to the comfy sun loungers, fluffy towels, Jacuzzi and recliner sofas– everything was just perfect. Even with 9 people, space was not an issue; there are several great areas for sitting together as a group (inside and out) but also plenty of wee spots to sit and do your own thing if that’s what you want. All facilities (dish washer, iron, BBQ) and basic supplies (tea, coffee, cleaning products) are provided and there are supermarkets 5/10min drive away for other supplies. The villa also felt really safe, especially with Pirate Sam keeping a watchful eye over us.

I don’t think any of us would hesitate to recommend Casa Margarita to friends and family and we’ll hopefully all be back sometime soon. So if you considering this as a holiday destination, ponder no longer and get booked up. You won’t regret it!

Simply amazing

Myself and eight friends (all girls aged in our late twenties) stayed in the villa for four nights at the start of May 2012. From the sun loungers to the kitchen facilities, the place is just perfect. It was lovely to have such a large space to ourselves to chill out in. It felt luxurious not having to share with anyone or get up early to reserve a pool side position (!) which is what I am used to having spent most holidays abroad in apartments or hotels.

The owner could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The villa offered everything we needed, even an Ipod docking station for our weekend playlist. My favourite area was the outside BBQ space, sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine watching the sun set over the Andalucian hills before the garden and pool lights came on was truly spectacular.

Once the food and alcohol shop was done we did not venture out past the threshold of the villa more than once!

The airport meet is to be recommended (the GPS system we hired from our car rental company was useless and we had to resort to road signs to find Coin).

Casa Margarita is a wonderful destination, I thoroughly recommend it and I hope to be back there sometime very soon.

Fabulous Holiday at Casa Margarita !

Well what can we say - we booked Casa Margarita for my son's 18th birthday and took another 5 teenagers including his brother. When the gates opened to Casa Margarita we had a similar feeling to some of the other guest reviews - the setting simply took our breath away. Magnificient gardens seen at their best when lit up in the evening. The boys loved it ! There was ample room for 9 of us, the villa is fabulous for chilling out or entertaining. There is a fantastic outside terrace with a large Weber gas bar-b-q where we had George's 18th, in fact we had all our dinners there and the boys used the terrace as their games/chilling area - a rest from the the sunbathing and swimming.
The pool is a delight, it felt like we were swimming in a fresh water loch whilst looking out across the Andulacian hills, wonderfully relaxing. If you want to venture out, there is the traditional town 5 minutes away
(Coin) with a very reasonable and large supermarket which came in very handy for feeding 9 people!! If you want to visit a more cosmopolitan town, then Fuengirola is 20 minutes away, there is also Marbella or Puerto Banus about 30 minutes away on a very good road. If you want to do a bit of sightseeing, then the famous and beautiful village/town of Mijas is about 20 minutes from the villa or the the amazing town of Ronda built on top of a gorge is an hour from Casa Margarita.
Maggie the owner of the villa was exceptionally helpful, collecting us all from the airport and arranging the rental of scooters for the boys. The boys also managed to find two clubs to frequent in Fuengirola. A trully amazing holiday. Thank you to Maggie and her daughter Courtnay for making it so special. We will be back !

just chilled out !!

We have just returned from a 10 day vacation at Casa Margarita with another family(7 of us in total) and had a total chilled out holiday. The villa was as good as the owners description and had all we needed !! The pool was different being salt water but was far better than your standard chlorine dosed norm and the kids were never out of it.The villa was spacious & clean and Maggie was the perfect host and more than happy to be contacted at any time for help and advice. We had a "come dine with me night" which tested the kitchen and utensils and it had everything right down to the dish washer(we won of course, unlucky Wendy and John, luke and KB) Coin town has everything you need and the food shopping is very cheap at the local Lidol or mercadona supermarket which is no more than 10 min drive.Restaurants are plentiful and well priced, we found only one English eatery in Coin called Peters Place(well recomended)through Coin on the left before La Trocha centre, there are also chinese and indian restaurants. Maggie arranged for the girls to go horse riding through the hills with a british run family business (ride -with-me) and the Lads went fishing at lake El Dorado(literally 5 mins from the Villa) again run by an ex-pat called mike and was really good as you can hire the equipment .Obviousley , a car is essential as nothing is really within walking distance but there is plenty within half hour driving.Puerto Banus was the easiest beach to get to which was approx 30 mins drive but will improve once the new road is finished.Maggie had just bought a gas BBQ which we used everyday and we ate on the Patio which was good as you could open and close the roof depending on the weather. There are two good restaurants on the MA-3033(come out of villa and turn left on to the main road) La Bomba on the left(BBQ) and a general spanish A la carte on the right which are both at the first island and approx 5 miles away. To sum this holiday up, it was the perfect chill out helped by the fact that the Villa was fully equipped and perfect , Maggie could not do enough to make sure we had a great holiday and I would highly recomend this to anyone wants an easy relaxing holiday in comfort with added privacy and a personal touch.

Casa Magerita - Coin

The word stunning simply does not do this property any justice. From the moment the electric gate first went back it took our breath away. The owners showed us around what had once been their family home and made us feel so welcome. The villa itself is stylish and sophisticatedly appointed while still feeling homely. We hardly stepped out of the grounds such was our pleasure at staying there but when we did we found Coin a lovely town with some nice bistros. Not far into Mijas and Marbella if you fancy a night out.

Fab Villa

Myself, my family and our friends spend the middle of August at this villa. The villa is fantastic and is set in lovely landscaped gardens complete with palm trees and water feature (not to mention the salt water pool). The villa was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. It had all the amenities you would require, and a kitchen with allsorts of appliances and gadgets. There was a lovely shaded patio complete with a gas bbq (which we did the majority of our cooking on) and beer fridge!. The master bedroom was fantastic, large enough to fit in a huge bed from which you had a floor to ceiling view of the rolling hills to wake up to in the morning, the ensuite was the size of my bedroom at home complete with a all singing jacuzzi bath for two as well as a large shower unit. The villa is situated a short drive from Coin which is a village with shops, tapas bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. We tried two restaurants just a short drive away which were both good, one was a bbq style place and the other an unusual Africa themed eatery - both really nice. We visited many of the surrounding villages, waterparks, and beaches - all within 30-40 minutes drive. Maggie & Rafael the owners could not have been more helpful and kind, they helped us organise local horseriding and were on hand to help out with any questions/directions etc. I have stayed in self-catering accommodation for most of my main holidays and what sets this villa apart is the personal attention that the owners have paid not only to the comfort of their guests but to the guests themselves and their desire for all who stay at the villa to have a good stress-free holiday. I would certainly visit this villa again 10/10. Thanks Maggie & Rafael, hopefully see you soon!

Casa Margarita

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at beautiful Casa Margarita. The villa is private, spacious (there were 8 of us), very clean, well equipped (lots of towels) and furnished to an extremely high standard. We did not want to leave!
The gardens are extensive and we loved the huge salt water pool which was only mildly salty and felt really good on our skin. Much nicer than chemicals and chlorine. The garden and pool were well maintained during our stay.
The large outdoor eating area had an electrically operated "cover" so could be in sun or shade and the large garden parasols provided a lot of shade also when needed.
The villa is well placed for sight seeing and we visited quite a lot of the area. The coast is about 25 mins away but a new road is almost completed which will halve this time.
The owner, Maggie, lives nearby and is very welcoming. She is always at the end of the phone to help with anything.
I have no hesitation in recommending Casa Margarita and I know you will enjoy your holiday here.
