Description:
Every apartment has terraces or verandas where you can dine surrounded by gorgeous plants and flowers. The position, dimension and distribution of the apartments make every one different.
The architect has arranged the houses in groups of independent villas among small areas of Mediterranean scrub, delightful pink granite rocks and flowerbeds.
When booking your accommodation a personal guide will be provided, to let you enjoy the best opportunities of this paradise.
The village is only 10km south of Olbia harbour and airport. It is strategically located on a slope at 1200 metres from the sea, with its pleasant breezes. Along the coast there are interesting restaurants and country inns where you can have a typical Sardinian meal. There is horse riding, cross-country driving, and sailing for small or bigger groups.
From the living rooms and bedrooms you step out upon large terraces at ground level as part of the garden. The atmosphere is enhanced by the scent of a thousand different bushes and trees - red, violet and orange bougainvilleas, giant daisies, and century-old wild olive trees.
The outdoor paths resemble those of old medieval villages, although they have a modern touch, with natural materials like large golden paving-stones and fired bricks to form romantic paths. The terraces reflect the round ancient shapes of Nuraghic villages.
It is a delightful place combining old Sardinian architectural traditions with the Provencal past, yet offers all the modern conveniences requested by the most demanding customers.

“Well maintained and good value apt with great view!”
Excellent host
There was a lot of paperwork before, and we had to make an Western Union money transfer in advance - that was a bit strange, but his houses and care for his guest have been excellent. Flavio seems to be well known in Porto San Paolo, so one gets a discount on some special restaurants. Before the Flight, Flavio offered us to reserve a car - that worked perfect. If you go there, do so!
When we arrived, Flavio came to us for almost an hour to tell us his secrets - this tips are also written in his personal "Yellow Pages" that he keeps updated. Thanks to this tips, we visited some absolute wonderful places - hidden secrets, with nobody else there. You will never get there unless you ave his detailed descriptions!
During our stay, he came every one and then to take care and ask if we might have questions or would need help. He took great care of us and tried to make the best out of our holidays. Flavio is very engaged, the apartments are very clean, of impressive architecture, full of sweet details and in local style, built out of local stuff.
Flavio collects his personal favourites with great care, and he shares with his guests. To know his little secrets of local highlights made our holidays of one of the most wonderful and romantic we ever had.
Next time we will definitely stay for a longer time!
Trip of a lifetime!
Our apartment was absolutely beautiful, and had stunning views of Travola. It was very nicely decorated and Flavio's passion for design and architecture clearly shone through.
Flavio's special guide was excellent and allowed us to unlock some of Sardinia's best sights, food and beaches. We explored many of his suggestions and were not dissapointed once.
In terms of food Osteria Del Mare and Casteddu farm house is a not to miss. Also, Flavio's gelati shop is fantastic... we visited almost every day!
There are too many amazing excursions to mention them all but I especially enjoyed the sailing trip with Carlo and our day trip to the 4000 year old olive tree and Capo Testa!!!
We very much miss Sardinia and L'Ea di Lavru, and will definitely be returning.
Ciao Flavio!
Brilliant chill-out spot
Sweet september in L'Ea di Lavru, Sardinia
Don't hesitate, L'Ea di Lavru is the place where You will spend one of the best time in Your life!!!
L'Ea di Lavru, apartment 3
We would recommend L'ea di Lavru and look forward to visiting it again soon.
L´Ea di Lavru, one of the best
Flavio took his time to tell us about nice places to go, excurtions and good restaurants to visit. And believe me Flavio knows what he is talking about.
L´Ea di Lavru has very nice appartments and a lovely garden, all designed by Il Commandante Flavio. Nice view to the characteristic island Tavolara.
We will also recommend to spend a day with Franco and his sailboat. A splendid opportunity to see the coast from the seaside together with a very nice captain.
All in all we had a very interesting and relaxing stay in Sardinia, thank´s to L´Ea di Lavru and of course all the nice beaches nearby.
Paradise!
A beautiful & memorable holiday
L'Ea di Lavru is in a great location, nice and quiet, a short walk to the town, and lots of beaches just a short drive away.
We stayed for 8 nights in Apartment 11, the smallest apartment in the village but more than enough space for us, with everything that we needed.
Flavio's Yellow Guide book made all the difference, it has all the ideas you need to have a wonderful holiday. It is so much better to be given recommendations, than to guess where to visit or what restaurant to eat in!
The highlights of our trip (all in Flavio's guide) were:
1) the Boat Excursion from Cala Girgolu with owner and skipper Pino - much recommended, lovely and relaxing with swimming stops and a generous lunch!
2) Horseriding with Guiseppe at Golden Spur. As beginners we were amazed, especially taking the horses into the sea and discovering they can swim, with us on them!! Such a memorable experience!!
3) Driving along the Costa Smeralda, from Capo Testa down to Porto San Paolo, via Porto Cervo and Porto Retondo.
4) Delicious pizzas at Il Tocano restaurant
5) The biggest feast of the trip at farmhouse restaurant Casteddu
6) S'ollastu restaurant for the beautiful setting
7) snorkelling at the amazing beaches, such as La Cinta and Lu Impostu
….actually it seems every day was a highlight!!
Thanks Flavio for all your help with arranging the boat trip and especially with the restaurant reservations, it was great that we received several discounts for mentioning your name ;-)
A word of warning if you don't know any Italian, many people don't speak English in Sardinia. We had to buy a dictionary and phrasebook, especially for working out the parking restrictions!!!
Overall such a lovely holiday in a beautiful place with perfect weather, will definitely go back as there were so many things that we didn't have time to do.
Only real negative point was that the holiday was over too soon :-(
Christine & Jon
Two relaxing weeks of Sardinian beauty, we'll be back.
We found the beds and bedrooms very clean and comfortable, with the added charm of Flavio's lighting arrangements making them all the better. The fridge was a little small but it is really all you need, as long as you don't buy two weeks worth of Sardinian specialties on the first day! The apartments have outdoor terraces and living areas where you can absorb the garden ambiance or the views of the coast. These apartments have architecture and natural materials to die for. The designs are simply stunning and the Sardinian granite finishes coupled with beautiful timbers are 5 star quality.
All of the best restaurants of the area are listed in Flavio's guide, with detailed instructions on how to get there. Flavio books the restaurants for you when asked, and he even gives his personal mobile number - insisting that he should be used for assistance. Some of the restaurants even offer a discount to his guests. Personal favorites were Il Tucano, for its amazing pizza, S'Ollastu, for the beautiful, exotic food. A favorite from this restaurant was the wild boar ravioli with tempura zucchini flowers, it was simply out of this world. Finally, you mustn't miss Casteddu, the lovely farmhouse restaurant that offers a feast for only €28!
The local area is home to some absolutely stunning beaches. This is another aspect of the stay where Flavio's local knowledge really pays off. Personal favorites include Lu Impostu and Cala Brandinchi, as well as the famous Sassi Lisci, but be careful as it is quite a distance to walk to get to the beach, and on arrival, you will actually find quite a few people on the beach in peak season as a result of boats.
Finally, the excursions included in the guide, at least the ones that we did, were fantastic. The boat excursion with Franco was amazing, going sailing around Tavolara, and swimming in the natural swimming pools of Molara Island. Also, we did the Capo Testa excursion, which he tells you about in the briefing. Make sure you follow his instructions to get up towards the lighthouse, then go down to one of the beaches, which are absolutely amazing.
Thankyou Flavio for this wonderful Sardinian experience - we'll certainly consider coming again!
Thanks, Ward, Lidia and Austin
